Companies and agents should therefore avoid these pitfalls as disputes in the case of a finalization of the agency relationships before German courts are being intensively pursued and result in a long duration of litigation.

Legal situation in Germany and Europe

The legal situation is harmonized to a large extent within the European Union but is not totally unified and codified on European or national level.

Therefore an extensive amount of case law has to be considered and the respective rules and regulations in Germany will have to be taken into account carefully.
